We give four free classical music concerts a year at El Camino College in Torrance, California. We have been performing since 1949.

Next Concert Program

  The next concert of the Beach Cities Symphony Orchestra will be given on Friday, November 6, 2009 (tentative date) at 8:15 p.m. in Marsee Auditorium, El Camino College Center for the Arts campus, 16007 Crenshaw Boulevard at Redondo Beach Boulevard in Torrance, California. You are also welcome to attend a pre-concert lecture for adults in the main auditorium starting at 7:30 p.m. This will be the first concert of the 60th season year. Admission is always free and no reservations or tickets are ever required to a BCS concert!  Starting with this concert, on campus parking is $2 per car (and is no longer free)!

Invitation to Musicians and Rehearsal Schedule

Musicians are always welcome to join our symphony, which has open rehearsals Wednesdays at 7:15 p.m. at the Redondo Union High School music room, located at the southeast corner of Pacific Coast Highway and Diamond Street in Redondo Beach, California. Some positions have waiting lists, but string players (especially cellists) are always welcome. A call to (310) 379-9725 or (310) 539-4649 or e-mail to info@BeachCitiesSymphony.org will provide answers to your questions. Weekly rehearsals for the 2008-2009 season started on September 10, 2008.
